The tale of Romulus and Remus, the legendary founders of Ancient Rome, inspired this wine. Abandoned at birth and raised by a she-wolf, the Remus and Romulus wines symbolise the distinctive flavours of Shiraz from the Barossa and Eden Valleys. Aromas of dark cherry and complex spicy waft from the glass, with impressive palate weight and texture.
Hand-harvested and fermented with 15% whole-bunch clusters. After an extended period on skins, the wine matures in 60% new French oak hogsheads for 18 months. Harvested from Central Eden Valley and Flaxmans Valley, these vines yield rich, concentrated fruit flavours, reflecting the outstanding 2022 Eden Valley vintage.
