From superstar winemaker Yoshiaki and his wife Kyoko, the La Ferme de Sato (LFDS) vineyard was established in 2016 on an old sheep farm in the sub-region of Pisa. The small planting of 1.3Ha of Pinot Noir is farmed organically, the wine is unfined, unfiltered and vegan friendly. 156 dozen of 2023 released.
Critics thoughts - "Aromas of al dente strawberries just ready to be picked mingle with hints of citrus and peaches, follow through to a medium body. This shows lovely fluidity, drinkability and finesse, yet the tannins are present with a long linear line at the end. 100% whole-cluster fermentation. Needs a couple of years to come together. Best after 2027." 96 points, James Suckling.
