NETA Cuixe Verde Mezcal
This limited-edition Cuixe Verde mezcal, produced in April 2019, is one of the final creations by legendary mezcalero Francisco “Tío Chico” García of San Luis Amatlán, Miahuatlán. Made from a rare, endemic agave phenotype, Cuixe Verde (Agave karwinskii var.), this small-batch (200L) mezcal highlights a unique maguey cultivated by Tío Chico’s family for decades. The agave thrives in rocky soils, maturing over eight years to yield a sugar-rich plant perfect for mezcal production. Double-distilled in copper pot stills and aged for three years in glass, this 45% ABV spirit is a tribute to Tío Chico’s legacy. Only 132 bottles are available in Australia.
