Ministry of Clouds Picpoul 2024
Picpoul translates as lip stinger in French, and boy do we love to be stung by Ministry of Clouds! This low-yield Picpoul, is zippy and tight with acid, the French Varietal is famed for it's lemon-y profile and natural salinity.
The 2024 vintage was picked second last in the block, and left on it's lees for four months post-fermentation to extract as much texture as possible. The wine smacks the lips with saline, brine and a hint of savoury strawberry leaf. But don't fret, she won't let you down in fruit either, lifted notes of nashi pear, lime blossom and white flowers to boot! This is a mouth-watering wine!
