A Mano Negroamaro 2020

100% Negroamaro from a single vineyard in Salento at the southern end of Puglia. An elegant, classically styled wine by Mark Shannon. This wine, crafted from 30-60 year old vines, has a mature Burgundian feel with notes of berries, cherries, and florals, alongside unique, singular characteristics. The dry-farmed, trellised vineyards protect the grapes from sunburn, maturation occurs  underground in cement tanks until bottling. Aromas of Morello and dried cherries, liquorice, vanilla, and cinnamon lead to a mid-weight palate featuring Morello and dried cherry flavors, complemented by vanilla, dried herbs, earth, and cinnamon spice.
